Audio Not Working for iPhone
All AccelaStudy applications include professionally-recorded, native speaker audio. Each AccelaStudy product is designed around 2 languages. One is the user’s native language and one is the language the user is trying to learn.
For example, AccelaStudy Spanish | English is designed for users who either know English and are learning Spanish, or know Spanish and are learning English. To this end, AccelaStudy comes with audio files for both languages. For 2,400 written vocabulary words, there would be approximately 2,400 audio files recorded in English and 2,400 in Spanish.
However, AccelaStudy takes audio support one step further for
some languages like Spanish. Since, in Spanish, words can be
different because of gender, audio files are recorded for both
gender variations. So there are separate audio recordings for
“negro” and “negra”, for instance.
If you cannot hear the audio pronunciations when using AccelaStudy on an iPhone, please follow these steps:
-
The number one reason users can’t hear audio on the iPhone is because the Mute button is turned on. The Mute button is also known as the “ringer off” or “vibrate mode” button and is located on the left side of the phone (when looking at the screen) near the top of the device. If the button position is showing “orange” then your iPhone is muted and you will not be able to hear the AccelaStudy audio files played.
-
Check the volume of the device. You can do this by double-clicking the Home button on the device or by using the switch on the left side of the phone (below the Mute button). Make sure the volume is turned up to a reasonable level.
-
Finally, go into AccelaStudy and go to the Study mode. Please make sure the volume is turned up within the application.
-
If none of these steps work, please email AccelaStudy Support at support@renkara.com.
