Audio Not Working for iPod Touch
All AccelaStudy applications include professionally-recorded, native speaker audio. Each AccelaStudy product is designed around 2 languages. One is the user’s native language and one is the language the user is trying to learn.
For example, AccelaStudy Spanish | English is designed for users who either know English and are learning Spanish, or know Spanish and are learning English. To this end, AccelaStudy comes with audio files for both languages. For 2,400 written vocabulary words, there would be approximately 2,400 audio files recorded in English and 2,400 in Spanish.
However, AccelaStudy takes audio support one step further for some languages like Spanish. Since, in Spanish, words can be different because of gender, audio files are recorded for both gender variations. So there are separate audio recordings for “negro” and “negra”, for instance.
If you cannot hear the audio pronunciations when using AccelaStudy on an iPod Touch, please follow these steps:
-
Test the audio output by listening to music in the iPod music player. If you cannot hear music using the music player, there may be something wrong with your audio output.
-
Check the volume of the device. Make sure the volume is turned up to a reasonable level.
-
Next, check to see that Sound Effects have been enabled for your iPod Touch. To do this, starting at the Home screen of the device, open on the Settings application and navigate to Sounds and then to Sound Effects. This setting should be set to “Both”.
-
Finally, go into AccelaStudy and go to the Study mode. Please make sure the volume is turned up within the application.
-
If none of these steps work, please email AccelaStudy Support at support@renkara.com.
